Every day, I post a review of a book published this year. I choose books that I have personally enjoyed, that I feel would be useful in an elementary classroom, and most of all, that I think children would like.
Different types of books are posted on different days of the week: Story Time Sundays feature fiction picture books; Middle Grade Mondays are for middle grade novels; Third Grade Thursdays have reviews of early chapter books; and Factual Fridays are for nonfiction. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays are free choice.
I am an Amazon affiliate, so if you click on the link at the end of a review, I get a small commission. This blog is mostly a labor of love, but getting a little money for the work I put into it is nice too!
I would like to get as many readers as possible, so please feel free to reblog any posts or share the link to this blog by other children’s literature fans!

I am an author of 5 Christian Children’s books. They are bible stories told
through the eyes of inanimate objects. Joseph’s coat, Noah’s Ark, Moses’s
Staff and David’s Pebble. The Easter story has to do the with the Tree that
Jesus was hung on.
I was wondering if it would be of interest to your organization to write
about them, read them or sell them. I would be happy to give you the books
in return for a review of the books, or anything else you may deem fit for
your organization.
I truly believe these books have a different perspective that makes the
historical events come alive for children. They are written for Right
Brain/Early Education too.

First of all, thank you for having a blog that highlights excellent books for kids. Books are the best. I read to my kids before they could even talk. They all have vocabularies that are beyond their years.

I love how you broke up the days of the week to focus on different type of books. That’s a unique way I have seen of doing kids books reviews. I also love reading and have read to both my sons since they were very tiny babies and my eldest loves to read (my youngest is a few months old).
I am a children book author and also have a blog where I do kids book reviews of books that we have read together. I also put in a section called “Teachable Takeaways” with a few brief ideas on how the book/Story can be used to emphasize certain points, enhance further learning and in-depth understanding. I wanted to share what my husband and I have been working on!
The idea behind these books is to encourage creativity and imagination in all ages. These books tell fun little stories that YOU get to bring to life. Each page leaves space for you or your child to answer the question, “What do I think that would look like?” They are great for a child who loves to draw/color, and they’re also a fun family activity to complete together. Because of everyone’s different creative vision and skills, no two copies will look the same!

Buttercup is a butterfly who believes he cannot fly because his wings look different from those of the other butterflies in Blossomville. In this beautifully illustrated children’s book, Grandpa Amos and a cast of colorful characters, such as Mr. Owl, Mr. Turtle, Ms. Birdie and Mr. Rabbit, show Buttercup that he can in fact fly. He was put on this Earth to fly, and as long as he is confident in himself and his purpose, he will fly.
