I was fortunate enough to get a Baker and Taylor grant to attend the American Association of School Librarians (AASL) Conference in Phoenix, Arizona this year. I’m leaving tomorrow morning and will be back Saturday night, so I’m taking a short vacation from the blog. Don’t worry, I have a stack of books to read on the plane, and will be up and running again no later than next Monday. Is anyone else going to AASL? Let me know, and maybe we can meet up!
You are amazing! Enjoy the time off, and the conference. We know you’ll be reading lots, as always!

I live in the Phoenix area but will only be able to take in the exhibit hall at the conference. I plan to be there most of the day Friday, volunteering in the Makerspace part of that time. I will keep an eye out for you! I enjoy my daily dose of kids book reviews – a nice quick read, and would like to meet you in person. I’m also participating in the dutch dinner choices on Wednesday evening as the “local librarian” along with author Lisa McMann. Looking forward to meeting her too as I didn’t even realize she was local. My own children and I are in the midst of listening to her Unwanteds series and loving it.
